This year’s iFEST will feature several new activities including a robust lineup of food vendors cooking up some of the most delicious and unique ethnic foods in the area. We will debuting the “Taste of Elgin Ethnic Food Festival.” Make sure to plan a trip to Elgin to experience and taste the wonderful ethnic foods from around the world including Philippines, Mexico, Italy, Japanese, Latin America, Laos, Thailand, Puerto Rico, United States, much much more! It’s going to be a YUMMY experience for sure!


Come for the food…. Stay for the Entertainment


The event will be hosted by The Centre of Elgin and nearby locations. We are bringing back Country Exhibitors and an ethnic Craft Fair inside the Centre’s Heritage Ballroom. Learn about all the different countries from around the world. With the Craft Fair, you will have an opportunity to buy ethnic goods and crafts.

Entertainment will be held in the green space just west of the Centre. We have an exciting lineup of local performers that will showcase their unique ethnic dance, music and entertainment. Acts include and not limitied to an Irish Band, Lao Traditional Dance and Music, Mexican Dancer, African American Soul Music, Elgin’s very own Elvis Presley and a Bollywood Dance performance. We will be adding a few more performers leading up tot showtime so stay tuned for the updates. And yes, dancing and singing with the performers are welcomed!

After trying some delicious ethnic treats and enjoying some great performances, don’t forge to have some FUN! We will have plenty of fun activities and games from around the world for everyone to experience and enjoy. Please bring the family and enjoy the variety of activities ranging from Henna tatoos, Face Painting, Postcards from Around the World photo booth, Flower Garden featuring Animals from Around the World art exhibit, coloring and painting activities, various ethnic crafts, interactive photo and video booths, balloons, caricatures and more….
