Getting to Riverside Drive in Downtown Elgin is fast and convenient, and the parking is free! iFest is taking place on the newly redeveloped Riverside Drive Promenade between Chicago Street and Grove Avenue, along the Fox River.


With free parking and easy access to I-90, Rt. 20 and Rt. 19, many people drive to Elgin.

From the East or West
Take I-90 east or west to southbound Route 31. Follow Route 31 south to the Kimball Street bridge. Take Kimball Street east across the Fox River, to Douglas Avenue south to downtown.

From the North
Take Route 31 south past I-90 to Kimball Street. Cross the river and take Kimball Street east to Douglas Avenue south to downtown.

From the South
Take Lake Street/Route 20 to Route 31 north to National Street. Take National Street east to Grove Avenue north to downtown.


Just steps away from the Metra, hop off at the Elgin stop on the Milwaukee West District Line.


Elgin’s Riverside Drive is part of the Fox River Trail, spanning 43 miles from Algonquin to Aurora. Known for its strong biking community, Downtown Elgin has plenty of bike racks to park your bike while you peruse the festival.


Parking is free in Downtown Elgin. Whether you find a street spot along Grove Ave. or Spring St., or park at the Fulton Street Deck, hundreds of spots are available in three covered parking decks and several surface lots.
